How good is Virgin Mobile? Coverage etc.?

I don't know Virgin Mobile, but I am going to switch to Metro PCS as soon as my Sprint contact is up. I have many friends and families who have it and the service is great. Plus the price is awesome for unlimited minutes, text and so much more.
