Why should I have to pay for lazy people to live in our country?

We live in a society that so often glorifies the irresponsible - those who won't work - as victims. This is insulting to those who are truly unable to work. So, why should I, a working-class citizen, be forced to fund their "ventures", when they are too lazy to work?
