for my project i need to write a parody on a "controversial" poem that i do not agree with. the poem doesn't necessarily have to have cause change in the world, although it would be better if it did. but the only requirement is that the poem was highly talked about or well spread. personally, some examples of things that i don't agree with are war, labor, drug use, animal abuse, violence, certain types of advertising, and things done for the sole purpose of attention, greed, or money. for example if anyone knows a poem that glorifies war so i can write a parody and say all the bad things that happen, or a poem that leaves out the bad side of the story. sorry if im being confusing but please give me poem titles if you have any ideas. thanks:)

Okay, so where to start. Okay nvm i am 24 years old, i work as an event planner. I have never been in a relationship not once in my entire life. I know that when I got saved, God poured His Spirit on me, and I knew things in the Bible that I had never even read before-it was like I was "awakened". When I read them in the Bible, it was like "Wow-God already showed me that-I KNOW it is true!" If I had not had a Bible, God would have still revealed things to me, in whatever way He wanted to.

Here's my story: Some chick in class had a ghost hunting party and said a mass murder took place in their house, and at the party everyone was told to be completely still and quiet. Where the girl who made the party, let's call her M, was sitting, people heard footsteps. No one believed it, so she told them to go in the bathrooms themselves with the lights out. And their bathroom is creepy. The mirror is shattered in the middle because M was angry and threw a soap bottle at it. Under the mirror is reflective silver, so you can still use the mirror. No one looks at the hole and is usually covered by a piece of paper or something because m had trauma claiming she sees people in it. (Probably her shoulder/elbow with a few locks of her hair sprawled around it, and was distorted because of the silver) their bathtub is completely normal, but the shower curtain has a few holes in it and the shelves in it are small so things often fall off randomly. The toilet was, well, a toilet. So I knew why she chose, of all places, the bathroom. People are generally freaked out and their mind would drive them to beleiving they heard scary things. So to prove nothing was in there I took the offer. Every one waited outside the door cautiously. The random sounds I heard were just people giggling out the door. I kept my eyes closed, but you know how you can't always keep your eyes closed? They just randomly open up? Well the kids thought it would be funny if they shined a flashlight under the door. So I could see a small strip of light on the floor. I looked down and saw two feet right infront of me. The door was locked and I hadn't heard it open. I am not one to brag about my bravery. I had promised my self if I had seen a ghost I would try to see them better or communicate. But I went running screaming out of the door.. when I was back with every one i turned on the light and looked in the bath and cabinets and other available hiding spaces. Nothing. No one. They've been known to be one of the most racist during wartime. They even have places where they forbid foreigners from entering. However, they have well kept their culture. Koreans on the other hand, are much more open to foreigners but they may judge them on stereotypes since they are a country with mostly koreans. Like at the airport they let foreigners do stuff that koreans can't do. It's so slack to the koreans in my opinion though. they barely have much culture left, because the japanese destroyed most of it plus many buildings were demolished during industrialisation. I hate my school and i have like no friends..help?

I will try to make this as short as possible. I hate my school. I live in a small town, with about 40,000 people...one of those small country towns where everyone knows everybody. To make that situation worse, i go to a private school here, where there are only 16 people in my entire freshman class. my algebra class, for example, has 6 people in it. Bullying is terrible here, it’s more mental than physical. i haven’t been bullied since I fit in and stuff, but the “book nerds” get bullied all of the time, and it’s hard to see…when I tell people that they shouldn’t do that they just say “oh ____, but look at her, she’s so ugly! How could you ever be nice to THAT?” so, i don't have many friends. to be honest, i only have 2 REALLY close friends, with one of them living out of town. why do i hate my school? my classmates are snobby and mean, and are so clique-y, and backstab. yes, i do buy all of the designer clothes and the fads, but i don't brag about it thinking im "rich and i dress better than ____ ". i fit in with my school, that isn't the problem. i just hate the people at the school and everything about it. the teachers are all rich and just teach for a little extra $$$ (public schools pay SO much more money) and have favorites, of course the kids of their friends. if you even try to REACH in your purse they will think you are texting. i make all A's in school, with b's as well, but not many. one time, a made a C on a science test, and then they called my parents because they thought i was "slipping and may not do well the rest of the year because of it" i mean what the heck, it was the hardest chapter we learned, and i still made one of the highest grades. these are just a few examples, i mean i could literally go on. i know you get special attention at private school, but they often cross the line to which it is a personal matter. i wish i went to public school, but there are only 2 public schools, and they are ranked like 200 in my state, so it's not too great. plus, one is located in the ghetto (don't mean to be racist) and there are shootings like every week, which of course everyone finds out about. In fact, I tried public school and one of my classmates I was starting to be friends with got shot. So, I came back to private school (parent’s choice) but anyways i just wish there was some way i could get out, i mean i want to experience REAL life in public school, not private school where 60% of the kids will continue to support their families business, or just fall back on the money their parents have and live off of that. It makes me depressed that all of these kids have their future planned out, where I have no clue what I want to be in life….and then I get so much pressure every day ,with the teachers saying “everyone needs to find out their career, there is no turning back” it’s just a whack school. And to have like no friends makes life even worse. Im on summer vacation now, and literally has been doing very little, just since I have no friends. And so hard to join cliques, and to be honest, I just don’t want to join some of the cliques there. My parents are divorced so I lifve with my mom, never having a dad there to take care of me, and I suffered from anorexia last year , nearly dying at 5’8’’ and 89 pounds.. because I wanted to be thinner. I am now back to a normal weight, but I still have that thought in my head that I need to go back, because i lost most of my muscle. I’m not fat now or anything, I’m 128 which is healthy for my height. God bless you if you read all of this. I just don’t know what to do. just THINKING of going back to school in september makes me depressed. like my friend who lives across state LOVES her school, and just enjoys every minute..i thought you were supposed to enjoy your childhood, not imprisoned in a school that has a poverty of realism. That is not a square BTW. But anyway. say the Pythagorean Theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2. if you know that c is say 2. then a^2 + b^2 = 4. If its a square then both sides are equal then a and b would be the square root of 2. (if you squared the square root of 2 then you get 2 which adds up to 4.) So my 21 year old brother has always walked all over my mom. He is away at college and she pays his rent car payment EVERYTHING. Ello, I have a mac pro and I run it through my 50" LG tv via a dvi to hdmi cable it has worked fine for approx 3 years no issues, recently I turned it on and I would get "no signal" on the tv, I changed the hdmi input and it still didn't work however my sky box does work fine in either. For about 2 days it came back on again last week but now it's gone back to no signal again, I also changed the dvi input and no joy, is this likely to be the cable?

Well, a large majority of the population were engaged in agriculture, and probably managed all right at growing the crops, herding animals etc, when they knew the territory they lived in so well that everything was familiar to them. Those who were short sighted would do all right at things that required close work, like men would be able to do things like mending tools, sewing seeds, weeding, reaping, etc. women would be able to spin, sew, cook, do gardening, etc. Things would be more difficult for long sighted people, but as they would know their way around their local environment very well, they would probably be able to manage if they were careful.

I live with four people, this one girl I live with is very simple. Help With Story Writing?

So, I'm trying to write this story on Wattpad. I've had the plot written out for a while now, and I've done short summaries of what I think should happen in my first five chapters. I have a Christian faith question?

Don't get me wrong, I am a believer of God, but I've recently gone into a faith crisis. I have to wonder...did God purposely choose or know who was going to be saved from eternal death before he created the Earth? If so, what would be the purpose of creating us---why would He need to be glorified if He already knew who He was? He's a creator, but at the same time, it doesn't make sense (maybe just in my little human brain) that He would know everything that was going to happen in our lives before we did; that He knew we had a purpose of his deciding before we knew, etc. I know, I should read the Bible for this answer. Did He know the people that would rebel against Him before He created them?? Did He only choose a few to be saved in order to fully display His character to those at His mercy? If so, how does free will fit into that? Does He see all possibilities then leave it up to us to choose? At the same, since He's all knowing, wouldn't He already know what path we were going to choose since He knew our characters and our flaws? Bible verses would be helpful....

There is mistaken idea in our society that guys have to "prove their manhood" by messing around with girls. I basically don't have any confidence at all. But I don't walk around all depressed about myself either. I don't think I'm attractive, but I don't care. But the problem starts whenever I start liking a girl. For some reason I'm really picky about girls. I'm just your average guy. 17 years old, 5 foot 11 inches, 142 pounds, Hispanic, slightly tan but still light skinned, slightly long black hair (more on the short side but still has some length to it), greenish hazel eyes, decent skin, braces wouldnt kill me but :/. I dress like a normal teenager. Skate brand shirts ( I do skate), skinny jeans ( not too skinny or too loose, just fit) I don't sag, and match well. But im never able to talk myself into asking the girl out on a date. Im always convinced that I'm no good for her. I just can't change the way I think of myself. I've always been like this. and when I talk to other people about it and they tell me stuff to try and boost my confidence I just think they're trying to be nice. US Army 11B question?

I'm thinking about enlisting in the Army in about a year or so and was wondering what I would actually be doing as an Army infantryman. I want to get 11B infantry and a slot in an Airborne unit however I heard as an 11B your basically a glorified janitor. I heard that you clean the halls, pick up trash and clean up dirt. I just want to know if I'm an Airborne infantryman in an Airborne unit will I actually get deployed and fight the enemy and use the infantry skills I learn in OSUT and Airborne school or will I just sit around all day cleaning and being a janitor. I know war isn't like videogames and movies however I would like to deploy and fight and do what I actually trained for.

How to get into photography?

i don't know Much bout photography but my brother does, he has a Canon 18 mega pixel camera i think he spent right around 1000$ on it and the way he started was to start in some classes find out how to take a good picture and get out there allot take allot of pictures i mean my brother takes hundreds a day sometimes. education is important otherwise how else would you know how to take a picture he has a Adobe lightroom on his computer that helps to edit your photos. a good way to practice would be know about all the band in your area evan the ones at your bar and if you take a really good photo you might be able to sell it.

don't you hate it when you ask an honest question on yahoo answers, and everyone calls you stupid and acts like "DUHH" and writes pointless things down.:/ I even put the question in the right category, but everyone still feels the need to be like, "don't you have a brain!? the answer is no!!" God has given my talent in many areas (not boasting) and I look forward to the future so much when i can use them to glorify God and make a living at the same time. I'm in college at the moment though and looking through certain professions, and they all seem so far away from me :( I love hard work, when its enjoyable, i even enjoy doing my AS levels at the moment which is strange because everyone i know hates college because its so hard. Well there are some people who just feel the need to be better than everybody else. You can confront her about it and tell her to shut the hell up that's what i would do if she doesn't like what you saying she can always leave. My friend is rude...?

I have been friends with this girl since kindergarten and we've always been nice, honest and supportive to each other. I've always had other good friends, but this girl was my best friend forever... sort of. Things have started to change last year over the summer holidays. She met some new friends and she started to hang out with them often. When the summer holidays were over, she was totally different. Since then, she has been so rude and straightforward. When i got a new cell phone, I didn't brag about it. But when she saw it, she said something like ''You have a new cell phone? Whatever, my cell phone i so much better than yours.'' When she got new shoes, she was bragging about it all the time; ''Look at my new shoes! They're so much prettier than yours! They have a beautiful flower print! Your shoes are so ugly, and the golden detail will fade with time. Your sense of fashion is horrible.'' The truth is, she has no sense of fashion. Everybody says that, but they are afraid to tell her. And when she heard other people saying that my clothes are nice, she said something like ''Whatever, my clothes are more expensive than yours.'' or ''If you buy sneakers, buy nike, not reebok. You have probably heard that a lot of famous people promote reebok, so you're trying to be cool, but don't be a copycat because it is miserable.'' What should I do about an old friend that does nothing but brag constantly?

I've been friends with this girl for over 15 years. The whole time I have known her, she has always bragged about things, and basically tried making me feel bad about my life. She had a very bad childhood, complete with her own father & brother molesting her, so I think that might have something to do with this behavior. I have always excused it, because of her past. Her mother passed away from cancer when she was 23, and now she is 31, and has become a registered nurse. My life hasn't been so good either, but nothing compared to hers. I got addicted to pain pills, but have since recovered. I haven't been able to find a job, because of some trouble that I got into with the pills. Anyway, now, this "friend" calls me up and reminds me constantly that she is a nurse. She talks down to me like I am stupid. She really makes me feel bad about myself, and I think she knows it. BUT, when I try to talk to her about me doing good, going to the gym to lose weight, etc., she doesn't want to hear it. She quickly changes the subject, and turns the conversation around to herself.
