Premarital Sex and Indian guys?

Would an Indian guy ever marry a girl who'd had premarital sex? I feel like many Indian men desire a "pure" Indian girl, why is this? They don't have the same standards for women of other races, but for us, for some reason we are looked down upon for having sex prior to marriage, while girls of other races are glorified for being sex symbols.
