Pythagorean Theorem help? PLEASE! I'm struggling in math here!?

That is not a square BTW. But anyway. say the Pythagorean Theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2. if you know that c is say 2. then a^2 + b^2 = 4. If its a square then both sides are equal then a and b would be the square root of 2. (if you squared the square root of 2 then you get 2 which adds up to 4.) Basically what I am saying is plug it in to the equation and solve from there when a and b are equal.
